This product includes tutorials with text and audio along with access to an index, calculator, formulas and explanation of symbols. It also includes reward games, once the student passes a certain level of expertise. The Real Math disc requires teacher input to run the exercises.

Although this product covers a wide variety of topics, we found the exams to be inaccurate. For example, during an exam on the Basic Math/ Pre-Algebra disc we answered several questions correctly, yet the program said we chose the wrong answers. Additionally, during the exam review it again related that we answered incorrectly, yet we answered "A" and the program says the correct answer is "A", it also listed the question as incorrect and scored the question against us. This happened on more than one question during the exam, for this reason we can not score this product high in teaching tools, because a product that gives the wrong answers is hardly an effective teaching tool.

This program is easy to use, however we had problems downloading this product. We have Windows XP on our computers and received several errors and delays while trying to run this program. The help and support for this program is also a bit frustrating. On the Encore website, you can find a brief forum and other help, but you have to go to the Broderbund website to find the email and telephone numbers for product support.

Overall, we liked the fact that this CD set covers numerous topics but were disappointed with the quality of the exams.
