Gold Medal Math is an educational software program which reinforces math skills for students in grades second through sixth. Through ten unique 3-D animated sporting events which are presented by humorous sports announcers, kids (a.k.a. "Mathletes") learn various mathematical applications and concepts. For each event, kids try to answer as many problems as they can in 1 minute. Their performance in each event (i.e. their throw in the javelin or their time in the bobsled) is based on the number of problems they answer correctly.

Problem

By the time kids get to the 6th grade, they often make simple mistakes in their mathematical calculations and at times forget some basic math facts. Many students tend to second-guess themselves and answer problems with uncertainty.

Solution

Gold Medal Math requires kids to answer math problems quickly. Students in turn will develop stronger self-esteem and become more confident in their math skills.
