Adventure Workshop actually includes 4 different learning games based on popular childrens' characters. It includes Morty Maxwell and his robot friends, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, and the Mighty Math Number Heroes. The Number Heroes game is intended to help you learn math skills through brainteasers, a game show, and more. World is Carmen Sandiego is based around the popular geography game.

You can travel through Grizzly Studio with the gang as they make the movie of their dreams. Or take a look around Math Metropolis where super smart super heroes help you build math skills.

This is an engaging game with better graphics than most educational programs and includes over 400 word problems. It also includes a helpful strategy guide that defines terms and offers math hints and tips

Teaching Tools:

Unlike many programs, which are a series of different games or mirrors of a basic textbook, this is a complex, goal-oriented game. Interact in the Math Metropolis and solve brain teasers.

Topics Covered:

Key math learning sequences include charts, graphs, data interpretation, sequences, and measurements.

Ease of Install/Use:

We did not have any problems installing this program and it is easy to figure out how to play the games. In addition, although it does not specifically state that it is compatible with Windows XP, it ran on our systems with XP just fine.

Help/Support:

There is a bit of inter-program help and some information posted online. We looked for technical support and we found plenty of retailers, but we could not find contact information for technical support.

Summary:

This is a fun game with exceptional animation that goes beyond what a static textbook can offer to provide quality entertainment.
